Eastbourne and Polegate Community Bus
CTLA (Community Transport Lewes Area) has set up a Community Bus to serve residents of Eastbourne, Polegate and Willingdon. This replaces the Taxi Rider service and is intended for residents who hold or are eligible for a national concessionary bus pass, or who have mobility issues that prevent them from using other local bus services. The service is door to door and will enable users to go to shops, doctors, dentists, friends or anywhere else within the operating area.

Wannock Play Area
The new self-closing gate into the children's play park at Wannock has now been installed.
The roadside gate into the play park has been locked as the closer mechanism has failed. As Council is considering installing a new gate further along (for the potential new age gym), it is possible that the gate will be repaired or replaced. Council has not yet made its decision and the roadside gate will remain closed until that decision is made.
Please note that dogs are NOT allowed in the play area or on the field. Anyone seeing dogs in either of these areas should inform the police on the 101 number as they are able to enforce the byelaw.
Changes to bus services
From mid April East Sussex County Council is making some changes to the frequency of bus services which it supports financially.
