Welcome to the Polegate Town Council website
This website is intended as a source of information for the residential and business community of Polegate and for social and business visitors.
Polegate Town Council is shocked and saddened by the news that a domestic incident occurred on Wednesday 22 October between Joseph O'Riordan and his wife, Mrs Amanda O'Riordan. We understand that Amanda remains in a serious condition in hospital.
Amanda is well known throughout the town, especially amongst the numerous voluntary organisations to whom she gives her support. She has also given freely of her time to Council at several civic occasions.
Our thoughts are with Amanda, her family and many friends at this time.

East Sussex County Council - proposed changes to supported bus network
East Sussex County Council is proposing a number of changes to its subsidised bus services and taxi rider schemes with a view to saving almost £1.8 million. Although Polegate is largely unaffected (except for changes to the Taxi Rider scheme) residents who use the bus network in other parts of East Sussex may be affected if the changes are implemented.
East Sussex County Council is inviting residents to have their say, either via its website or a printed response form. Copies of the response form are available from Polegate Town Council offices on any weekday between 9:00am and 1:00pm.

Private Car Park Polegate
The office receives numerous calls daily about the privately owned car park near the co-op in Polegate. The Town Council do not own the car park and it is privately run on behalf of the owner. Recently it appears that the car park managing company have transferred over to payments by phone.
